Photo Tour of von Strasser Vineyard
All photos taken March 22, 1999

FRIENDLY GUARDIAN of the von Strasser vineyards, Brook
chews on what looks like a chunk of old vine. |

VON STRASSER ROCKS. Vines are now being planted
between the old rows in the Petit Verdot block, which supplies fruit for the fantastically
rich von Strasser Reserves. Note how stony the soil is! Tough digging, but great for the
wine. |

DIAMOND MOUNTAIN PANORAMA as seen from von Strasser's
main Hillside Cabernet Vineyard, planted in 1982. The neighboring vineyards in the
foreground are Diamond Creek's Volcanic Hill. The open spaces at higher elevation are
Sterling's Diamond Mountain Ranch. |
