I don't jinx things by saying that Sonoma Valley's St. Francis winery
still seems to offer terrific value. Practically across the board. Starting with one of
the best Cabs you buy for under $12...including their stellar Old Vines Zinfandel...clear
on up to their outstanding Reserve Merlot and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.
The folks at this place run a swell tasting room as well. You should drop in if you find
yourself near the town of Kenwood. Now let's just hope the owners keep the spirit of the good Saint in mind when they put prices on the next vintage... |
